Tidus stared passively at the evening sky. He was disappearing, as he had expected.

It wasn't not being anymore that scared him. It wasn't the fact that he had no clue what was to happen to him now. He could care less.

It was whether the fates would allow him to see Yuna again that struck a lasting chord in his heart.

Even now, he could not look her in the eye, could not face the person that he loved with so much of himself that he thought he belonged to her and not himself.

Only her.

The breeze the strayed past seem to signal it was time. For new beginnings, for stories to end.

Even as the words were spilled from her lips, as the sound of them filled the air and pushed the oxygen from his lungs, Tidus was not there anymore. Feeling like he was a distance away, watching, despairing, his arms folded around her, knowing all the time, their touch would not meet, but not caring nonetheless.

And with a shuddering breath, he plunged from the ship and fell through the heavens.
