Piece #05: General Tso's Chicken's Got Nothing On This Shit
Song of Influence: "Everything Turns Grey" -- Agent Orange, Living in Darkness
Theme: Mankind's duality, unknown poetry, and Darby Crash. And Chinese food. And Katt.

Walking the streets at 3:00 AM, she sees all of the moon's phases. A vision reminiscent she tries to recall, but none comes. Well, maybe one: a cold night, walking to the car from the supermarket, amazingly someone is playing "Kill the Poor" by the Dead Kennedys, a familiar tune to her. Close, but no proverbial cigar.

Katt stalks the streets tonight, alone. Like Darby Crash, she sees death masked stars in a world that is cold and sharp. Already, she snarled at winds that meant no harm. Already, her mind was fed unholy tests. Yes, Darby would have been proud.

She breathes in the cool night air. Her fur keeps her lower body warm. Her skin keeps her upper body shivering. Her tattered denim jeans, her tattered cloth shirt. Testament to the duality of her nature. The duality she has accepted.

Like Kit Smart's cat, Katt unconsciously battles the powers of darkness. With her electric skin. And her glaring eyes. Jubilante Agno has become a reality.

She brushes aside strands of her short, red hair from her face. Folds her arms, complete with clawed hands, under her breasts. Half cold and half warm. She wears no footwear. None is needed when you have the feet of a cat.

She glides like mercury at room temperature, along those dark, moonlit streets. Every now and then, the intense lights of a car break the darkness, only to make it more blinding. She shuts her eyes with a growl and waits for the cars to pass.

Ho! But her green eyes capture the image of the full moon. The hairs on the back of her neck stand upright, and she shivers. A wide, toothy grin is on her face, exposing a pair of short, razor-sharp canines.

She smells prey.

She lets her animal nature take control. Katt goes down on all four limbs, and silently stalks. Time seems to stop. Breathing is minimal. Her tail swishes. Without another word or thought, she strikes.

Thus, I find myself underneath her lithe body. Figures. She nibbles on my ear while I try to keep myself under control. Shit, could you as a male do that if an athletic-bodied cat girl pounced on you and started to chew on your ear and lick your face? Goddamn. Every man's dream, I guess.

"Oi, Ryu." Katt remarks, her human self back in control. "Th' fuck you doing on the ground like that?"

Ryu dusts himself off and shakes his head.

"The lion's world is cold and sharp," he says, keeping ambiguity about the situation by quoting Darby Crash. One of Katt's favorites.

Katt's human nose twitches softly. "I smell Chinese! We're near that restaurant, aren't we?"

"Uh, yeah…" Ryu starts to back away, knowing what comes next…

…but in the end, Katt ends up with take-out dinner and Ryu with $8.00 less. It figures.
