There comes a time
When you face the toughest of fights
Searching for a sign
Lost in the darkest of nights

The wind blows so cold
Standing alone
Before the battle's begun
But deep in your soul
The future unfolds
It's bright as the raise as the sun

You've got to believe
In the power of love
You've got to believe
In the power of love
The power of love

The same emotion
There's a light that flows from the heart
It's a chain reaction
And nothing will keep us apart

Stand by my side
There's nothing to hide
Together we'll fight to the end
Take hold of my hand
And you'll understand
What it truely means to be friends

You've got to believe
In the power of love
You've got to believe
In the power of love

It gives meaning to each moment
It's what our hearts are all made of
You've got to believe
In the power of love
In the power of love
The power of love

A cool wind stirred her hair. Serena turned as Minko's hand touched her shoulder.
"It'll be alright Serena. Everything will turn out okay. You know Darien really loves you. Just give him some time," Minko said.
"But what if it's not okay this time, huh Minko? What happens if he doesn't really love me? Then what?" Serene burried her face in Minko's shoulder and cried.

It all started about two weeks ago, at Amy's birthday party. Well, rather, everyone else was partying, and Amy was doing homework, or trying to figure out how to banish the negaverse, or something along those lines.
"Happy birthday Amy!" said Lita, who came bursting in the door carrying a tray of rice balls.
Mina joined Lita in the kitchen, and the two began making up refreshments for the others at the party. There wasn't too many people there, just Serena, Raye, Mina, Lita, Amy, Darien, Michelle, a few other friends from school, and Minko, the new girl.
Serena went over and found Amy, who was sitting on the couch, with papers spread out all around her. Serena pushed a couple of papers aside and sat down. "Hey Amy, come on, let's go and dance," Serena said, tugging on Amy's arm.
"Oh Serena! Can't you ever concentrate on anything but fooling around!" Amy snapped uncharacteristicaly.
"Hey Amy, chill out. Serena was just trying to get you to have some fun," said Lita, who had come out from the kitchen hearing the commotion.
"Yeah, it's you're birthday, girl! Come on and party with us a little," Raye added.
"What...what is this? You all want to just mess around? Are none of you serious? Do you have any idea how important what we're doing is? Or should I say, what I'M doing," Amy was trembling.
"Amy no. It's not like that. It's just that it's your birthday. Kick back and have some fun," said Mina, joining in.
"How can I kick back and have fun when something like this is happening?!" Amy screamed, then stormed out of her own apartment.
Serena started to follow, but felt Darien's hand on her shoulder, stopping her. "I'll go," he said, and he left to.
They stood in an akward silence for a few moments, and then everyone left except for Mina, Lita, Raye, Serena, Michelle, and Minko.
"Soooo...anyone know what that was about?" asked Mina.
Shoulder shrugs and head shakes came from everyone.
"I think it has something to do with Darien," offered Minko.
"Why do you say that?!" asked Serena, too quickly. (Note: Serena and Darien are madly in love in this story)
"Well, no certain reason, but they have been spending alot of time together lately...and he stopped you from going after her. Why would he do that? You're her friend..." Minko trailed off.
"They've been spending time together because it's BUSINESS, sailor..." Serena started, but stopped herself. She almost let it slip that they were Sailor Scouts, and Minko was NOT a Sailor Scout.
"Yeah, well, I'm sure it will all blow over. But anyway, I'm going to be on my way now," Mikno said.
"Ok Minko, we'll see you later," Serena said shortly. All the others just nodded and said quick goodbyes.
Minko walked out the door, slowly closing it behind her. Oh, she knew all about Serena and her friends, but she wasn't going to let them know that. She turned left down the hallway, and went down the stairs. Into the dark night she stepped, letting the cool air caress her cheeks. Tall buildings loomed everywhere. Minko walked right, until she heard voices. She quicked ducked behind a wall, and listened.
"Oh Darien...we can't let this go on. It's not right. You know it," came Amy's voice.
"Amy, we can't tell them now. It would kill the others, especially Serena. You know that to. And you don't know that to happen," was Darien's reply.
"I know...it's just that...it's not fair," Amy said.
"Yes, but to say something now would just cause more trouble. For now, we'll keep it a secret," Darien said back.
Minko thought she heard their steps coming towards her, and took off.
