A New Beginning
Life had turned upside down in the last two weeks. When Jason went to the Dominican Republic with Brenda and she refused to sign the papers, underneath all the anger he felt a sort of relief. He couldn't quite explain it but he didn't want the annulment. When they got back to Port Charles no one could prepare them for what was going to happen. It all went by so fast it was like a bad dream. Jason and Courtney had gotten in to a car accident on their way to tell Sonny about them. Courtney was fine but Jason ended up in surgery for internal bleeding. Sonny found out about him and Courtney from that conniving bitch Elizabeth. When Jason got out of surgery he found Sonny sitting on his bed. Sonny insisted that he end the relationship right now. Although he really didn't want to Jason broke up with Courtney. This was the second time Sonny stole the woman he loved. Now he just stayed home staring at the wall. It was like his heart was cut out. He went day by day just sitting there in his sorrow. He had taken a few days off to recuperate after the surgery. At first it was only him staying there but yesterday it all changed.

Bang! Bang! Jason jumped up startled by the banging on the door. He had just fallen asleep after several days of just sitting on the couch staring into space. "Carly," Jason said while swinging the door open. "I don't want to hear it. If Sonny." Jason stopped the staring at the image in front of him. "Brenda? What are you doing here? Aren't you suppose to be marring Jax?"
"He said no Jason. He doesn't want to marry me. He says I still love Sonny." Was all Brenda was able to get out between sobs after collapsing in his arms.
Jason stood there in the middle of the doorway holding his ex-wife. That basturd. Even though he didn't love Brenda he still cared for her. Jax was the one pushing for the wedding and he is the one calling it off how could he. "It's OK. It'll be ok. Just come inside and sit down. What happened? Why would he think that?" Jason said while leading her from the door to the couch.
"He saw Sonny and I kissing. It was a goodbye kiss that's all, I swear." Brenda sobbed. "I love him not Sonny."
That was all he got out of her. After that night they didn't say one word to each other. They just sat on the couch enjoying each others company.
