(To the tune of "In the Dark of the Night" from Anastasia. Written before OoP was published.)
THE SCENE: Harry's bedroom at the Dursleys', post GoF. HARRY, shaking and clutching his burning scar, has just woken up from another nightmare. Once the pain has subsided, he gets out of bed and starts writing a frantic letter to Sirius, singing as he goes.
HARRY:
In the dark of the night I was tossing and turning
And the nightmare I had was as bad as can be --
It scared me out of my wits --
A wizard blasted to bits!
Then I saw from on high
that the wizard was... me!!
The scene then changes to the Little Hangleton graveyard, where VOLDEMORT has gathered his DEATH EATERS for a meeting...
VOLDEMORT:
I was once the most powerful wizard in the world.
When the Potter clan crossed me they made a mistake!
My curse made each of them pay
But one little boy got away!
Little Harry, beware,
Lord Voldy's awake!
DEATH EATERS:
In the dark of the night evil will find him
In the dark of the night just before dawn!
Aah...
VOLDEMORT:
Revenge will be sweet
ALL:
When he's dead at our feet!
DEATH EATERS:
In the dark of the night
VOLDEMORT:
He'll be gone!
I can feel that my powers are slowly returning!
Tie my sash, adda dash of cologne for that smell!
Wormtail hurriedly does as his master commanded
VOLDEMORT:
When the pieces fall into place
I'll see him pale in the face!
We'll prepare-y, Harry, your place,
in Hell!
DEATH EATERS:
In the dark of the night terror will strike him!
VOLDEMORT:
Terror's the least I can do!
DEATH EATERS:
In the dark of the night evil will brew.
Ooo!
ALL:
Soon he will feel-
VOLDEMORT:
-that his nightmares are real
ALL:
In the dark of the night
VOLDEMORT:
He'll be through!
DEATH EATERS:
In the dark of the night
Evil will find him
RANDOM DE:
Find him!
DEATH EATERS:
Ooh!
In the dark of the night visions come true.
RANDOM DE:
Crucio him!
VOLDEMORT:
My boy, here's a sign -
ALL:
It's the end of the line!
In the dark of the night...
In the dark of the night...
VOLDEMORT: (beckoning the circled DEATH EATERS forward)
Come Death Eaters,
Bow to your master,
Let your evil shine!
The DEATH EATERS step forward and bow very low.
DEATH EATERS: (rising)
In the dark of the night...
In the dark of the night...
During the following lines all DEATH EATERS produce brooms, mount them, and begin to fly away.
VOLDEMORT:
Find him now,
Yes, fly ever faster
ALL:
In the dark of the night...
In the dark of the night...
In the dark of the night...
VOLDEMORT:
He'll be mine!

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Yes, I know thus far Harry's nightmares have only been about things that actually happened. But having him sing the first six lines made the most sense to me.
