Category: Angst, I suppose.
Pairing: Harry/Draco
Summary: Harry makes Draco talk to him.
Archive: If ye ask nicely.
Notes: This is a very short fic (312 words), but it's going to be part of a
real story some day. Just as soon as I get my arse in gear. This is my
first HP fic, by the way. Please R/R!
Disclaimer: Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter are, most regrettably, not mine.
I'm just playing with them.
Harry looked at Draco across the room during double potions. He just had to get him to talk today, he just couldn't stand the silence any longer. When Snape dismissed the class, Harry ran to Draco and grabbed his elbow.
"Draco?" Draco shoved Harry off and walked away without looking at him.
"Draco, wait!" Draco stopped and crossed his arms over his chest, not turning to face him, but Harry knew he was listening. This was his best chance to get through to his lover. "You've been avoiding me for two weeks. When is this going to stop?"
Draco finally turned to face Harry, with a well placed scowl covering his pale face. "Me, avoid you? I think you've got it backwards, Potter. You're the one avoiding me!"
Harry was taken aback by this accusation. His mouth flapped open and closed a couple of times before he answered. "No, I haven't! I've tried talking to you a number of times now, and you've played deaf!"
"Why would you want to talk to me, anyway? I betrayed you! Or don't you remember?" Draco suddenly found his fingers very interesting, and stared at them while he waited for Harry to answer.
Harry took a step towards Draco. "Of course I remember, Draco. But I don't care."
Draco's jaw dropped and he looked back up at Harry. "You don't care. You don't care? How can you not care, Harry, after what I did to you? What I did is totally unforgivable!"
Harry took another step towards his boyfriend. They were now toe to toe. "What you did to me was wrong, but it's not unforgivable. It wasn't all your fault. And I do forgive you." He said, softly.
"Why?" Draco's voice cracked.
Harry let out a low laugh, and drew Draco into a tender kiss. As soon as Draco responded, Harry let go. "Because I love you." He whispered.
