Take flight
Not caged by my sadness

From it I've been set free

The heavy pressure

I had weighing on my back

How it had tripped me over and over

I had tried to stand up on my own

I was distraught

And wanted to give up

It was then when I realized

Each time I had fell

It was God catching me

Though I didn't notice

He was always there lifting me

His amazing grace

Has given me eternal comfort

And peace from within

The hardships and bad memories

Nightmares they had been

Now turned into something beautiful

The scars from my wounds

I have learned form them

Wonderful lessons they are...

My healer has refreshed me

I have left the old me behind

On my back...

The pressures were removed

In it's place

Is a pair of eagle's wings

He who heals me

Smiles as I take flight
