Disclaimer: I don't own either the Black Jewels or the Lord of the
Rings.
A silver haired woman stood in front of a large spider web. A tall, spiky haired woman stood next to her. They were arguing about something, every so often pointing to the web and making it glow with power.
The man crept slowly closer to them, watching with interest as the woman with long, silver blond hair and blue gray eyes began to cry, and the spiky haired woman turned away.
He slid down a rock face that was part of the rugged terrain of Dea al Mon (although he didn't know it) and ducked behind a boulder. He was close enough now to hear their raised voiced.
"Karla, it doesn't make any sense! This web shows the triangle uniting to become one and fighting together against a black taint. But that can't be! Jaenelle already purged the Realms! They should be-" She stopped short, cocked her head, and listened intently at something.
The man ducked farther down behind the boulder and silently prayed that they didn't find him.
Karla, the spiky haired woman, peered at her friend. "Gabrielle?" she asked worriedly.
Gabrielle put up a hand to silence her and slowly pivoted around until she was facing the spying man.
He sucked in his breath and didn't move, not wanting to be found, because he wasn't sure what they'd do to him. Gabrielle closed her eyes for a second, then opened them again and said quietly, so that he had to strain to hear her, "There's someone over there. A landen, by my guess."
The man got up and fled, putting to the back of his mind that he'd just been called a "landen," and focusing of getting away. Suddenly, he realized that his feet were no longer touching the ground. He was hovering in the air, ten feet above where his feet had just been. He turned around in the air so he was facing the two blonde women, and tried to keep his cool.
Gabrielle had her arm shot out as if she was holding him suspended in the air, even though she was a full twenty feet away. She made a "come here" gesture, and he floated towards them.
She set him back on the ground, and he tried to crawl away, but backed into something invisible and solid. He couldn't escape. Swallowing hard, he croaked, "Who are you?"
The woman who he had concluded was Karla looked mildly surprised and replied tartly, "I think the question is, who are you?"
When he didn't answer after repeated attempts, Gabrielle sighed. "Okay. I suppose you'd rather talk to the High Lord then." She snapped her fingers and ropes appeared, tying themselves around him. The women pulled him up and dragged him away. He was too afraid to say anything but, "You can't do this to me! I'm supposed to be King!"

A/N: Okay, to understand that last party, you have to have read Cassandra Claire's Very Secret Diaries. If you haven't, then this story isn't making much sense to you, but the man that was spying on Gabrielle and Karla is Aragorn. Hence the name, Middle Earthlings in Kaeleer.
A/N 2: this is just an idea I'm throwing out. I'm not sure if I'll write it all out, but I will depending on the reviews I get (hint hint: review!). I also have to finish my other Lord of the Rings story before I can work on this one.
