Lily Evans wasn't your average witch. She was a shy seventh year head girl. Her radiance didn't seem to be glistening. She always kept to herself, quietly scurrying around Hogwarts to her classes. Inside her was a flower that had been blooming since her first year at Hogwarts. Her sister, Petunia, stuck up her nose and acted as if Lily wasn't all that special for being accepted to Hogwarts. Her parents, although were the complete opposite. They had been overjoyed for her when she had gotten the acceptance letter for Hogwarts. Although in the first weeks of getting the letter, she didn't find it that exciting and wasn't sure if she was 'weird' or not for being a witch. After all, who gets an acceptance letter to a witchcraft and wizardry school everyday? But she started seeing why her parents were so happy. In her first year, she was so happy, but as her pre-teen self blossomed in a teenager, she became depressed because she would have to leave all her friends. Although there was a boy she loved dearly. James Potter.
Lily made friends. Oh yes, a lot. James Potter and Sirius Black were the most special to her in the whole school, though. They always walked together, had their bad and good times. Lily was eager to be a licensed witch and have children so they could be wizards and witches.
It was the day of the graduation from Hogwarts. Lily was beaming, and the sun was shining . It made her fair skin gleam and her green eyes shine.
"Lily Evans!" Professor Dumbledore, the headmaster called out. She stepped off the bench and walked up to Dumbledore.
"Thank you," she whispered in a low voice. Dumbledore winked at her and gave her her license. It was unbelievable. Lily Evans was now an official witch. After the ceremony was over, James Potter, her neighbor walked up to her.
Suddenly, He got down on his knees and said "L-L-Lily, will you m-m-marry me?" he managed to get out. Lily gasped. She knew James loved her, so had Lily loved him. But she would have never expected this, especially on graduation day.
"Oh yes, of course James!" she hugged James. Just think about it, Lily beamed. Lily Potter.
Fast forward 10 years later.
"Oh James, we have our own bundle of joy!"
"What shall we name him?"
"Harry. Harry James Potter."
"Well, hello Harry Potter. Welcome to the world."
Harry's first birthday was a big celebration. Sirius Black and Rubeus Hagrid were one of the few to come to the birthday. Even Severus Snape came too, though he loathed some of them.
One night, Lily was rocking Harry in the chair when a big booming sound rang in Lily's ears. She put Harry in his crib and got up to see what it was. James was already there.
"Ja--?" Lily got cut off when she saw what it was.
'Oh no! Go to Harry, right now, Lily!' was what her mind was telling her. She ran to Harry. She stood in front of Harry. Her instincts told her James was dead.
"Oh James," sobbed Lily. Lily did not have any more time to cry when she heard Voldemort coming up to her.
"Lily, you would have been a great death eater. Hand over the boy, and you will not get hurt."
"Never!"
"I'm sorry Mrs. Potter."
Lily was dead.
"Avada kedavra!" he shot at Harry with his wand. Nothing happened, except a scar was formed on Harry's head. It was the shape of a lightning bolt.
"Huh?" Voldemort cringed. Then he felt himself fading, and fading.
"NOOOO!" Voldemort managed to yell out after fading in the darkness, leaving Harry rocking in his crib.
Many people went to Lily and James' funeral. After the funeral was done, in the night, Rubeus Hagrid took Sirius Black's motorcycle and fled in the night, with little Harry rocking in his arms, asleep.
