Author's note: I have decided to skip school today.consequence-not going to
my friend's party. Oh well, I haven't a day off school since the 5th grade,
I earned a bit of a rest. Anyway, I have nearly the whole day to write.yay.
Disclaimer: Sigh. You'd have to be really thick to believe that I was J.K.
Rowling.I'm not!! Honestly!
On the night of the murder, they say only one survived. A mere infant, named Harry Potter. No one ever suspected that his sister, his twin in fact, had also lived to die another day. The one who rescued the small child, hiding under the crib, was an unlikely character. Albus Dumbledore.
As she walked and walked, Alice Sumner drew closer to the blinding green light at the end of the corridor. She didn't know why she had the sudden urge to find the cause of the light; it was just a terrible fascination she couldn't control. As she reached the end of the lengthy hall, she paused, waiting for something to happen. Nothing did. She reached for the doorknob, slowly turned it, and pushed. Inside was an empty room. The only thing it contained was a boy. Perhaps 15 or 16, Alice judged by his height. He had a glow about him. A green light, Alice realized, which was the same green light she had been searching for. The boy had his back to her, evidently staring at something she couldn't see. She slowly walked over to him, expecting him to turn around before she reached him. But he still wasn't facing her by the time she reached him. Alice took hold of his shoulders and spun him around. His face was covered with a white mask. "Who are you?" she whispered, her hand reaching for the mask to reveal the boys identity. Just as her hand enclosed on the mask, Alice Sumner was awakened by the harsh buzzing of her alarm clock. Alice's eyes fluttered open as she sat up. She noticed that she was sweating. This wasn't the first time she had a dream like that, nor, she later on discovered, was it the last. Attempting to make her dream the furthest thing from her mind, Alice hastily flung herself out of bed and ran to the shower.
Once she was fully dressed, Alice wandered downstairs, where she found her mother cooking bacon.
"Smells good, mum!" she exclaimed, despite the wary mood she was in.
"I thought we should have an extra special breakfast, since this is such an important day for you!" her mother gushed in her usual over-happy state. Alice gasped.
"I completely forgot! Today's the day my letter's supposed to come from Hogwarts!" she felt slightly ashamed that she had forgot. Mrs. Sumner set down a plate of bacon and eggs in front of her daughter. "Tuck in!" Just as Alice had finished her meal, her dad came in with the post.
"It's here!!! Open it Alice!" Her father handed the letter to her. Alice took it, and hastily opened it with her long nails. After reading it several times aloud to her parents, Alice's mind wandered to school shopping. "Mum, when can we go school supply shopping?" Her mother thought. "Tomorrow!"
Yes, I know. It's boring.Just read the next chapter.it gets more interesting.I hope. What, I'm just winging it! I'm about as clueless as you are! Oh well.Happy readings!
