Abyssinian

By Naki

A young man darkened by night

Draws his sword as he flies into a fight.

Shadowed by secrets known only to him

Fighting only to avenge his kin.

His fire red hair mirrors his will,

His February eyes carry a bill

Payable with his enemy's last breath

Even if vengeance causes his death.

His sister's name he took as his

And he left his sister with a last kiss

And with her sixteenth years' gift on his ear.

He draws his blade just when evil comes near.

Assassin, his moonlit occupation,

Hidden by a flower shop vocation.

Emotionless eyes shut all others out

Despite efforts to remove all their doubt.
