A/N: To Arienne...the only reason I'm actually getting off my lazy butt and typing out this excuse of a fanfic. To all that are going to spend time reading this, thanks!

Harry awoke with a jolt. The-Boy-Who-Lived was now seventeen years old and two weeks away from graduation. It was the dreaded thought that had burrowed into his subconscious as the time when he would have to leave the sanctuary of Hogwarts school had grown nearer and nearer that had awoken him.

What do I have to look forward to?

You could be certain as soon as he came of age he would be chucked out of the Dursley's house. That was a mixed blessing in and of itself. At least he would no longer have to put up with them anymore. But also, the magic Dumbledore invoked to protect him when he was in his relations' care would be gone. With Voldemort still at large, Harry's life would surely be fraught with a certain amount of peril (more than usual, anyway).

Harry also had to start thinking of adult life after Hogwarts-he still had no idea what to do! Whenever Harry tried to think, his mind began spiraling in a confusion of thoughts.

He also worried about losing his friends. Who knows whether everyone would keep in touch when they've left Hogwarts?

But, perhaps the though that haunted his mind the most was having the biggest secret of his life blown open for all the world to see.

As Harry sat staring at the patterns of moonlight cast on the heavy velvet hangings, he glanced at the one thing that kept his mind at ease. He brushed a few stray strands of red hair from that perfect face and smiled gently to himself as Ron murmured and turned over in his sleep. He had Ron; his best friend and the love of his life. And that was everything.

Harry yawned and lay back on his pillow before drifting off to sleep.
