As the Nazguls Ride..
The night was foggy, but Strider continued to drag the little hobbits until they could reach Rivendell. Wondering where Gandalf was, Frodo was scared to death, for the Nazgul/Ringwraiths were also after him. He knew they could smell his scent and were coming for him.
A fowl cry was heard in the distance and suddenly Strider cried out, " There here!" The four hobbits ran to the nearest clearing and stood close by Strider. They could feel the presents of evil growing closer to them. Unable to see in front of them, the travelers ran without looking back. They ran swiftly until the Nazguls were only about 10 feet behind them. Then Strider took out his sword and grabbed the handle and hard as he could and motioned the hobbits to keep on running. He plunged his sword, fixed on the one Nazgul, the leader, but the Nazgul blocked it.
Strider was no match for all 9 of them and knew this, so he quickly ran. He did not know where the half lings went but guess they could not run very far. He ran until he was out of breath and out of reach of the Nazguls. He realized that he was near a river and he found Merry. Merry was laying on the floor as is he was dead, with his face filled with dirt and muck. A few feet in front of him was Pippin and before Pippin was Sam laying on the floor in the exact position Merry was in. But where was Frodo? No way could the Nazguls have gotten him, how? Oh no, if they get the ring into their grasps, Middle-Earth is done for. This is all my fault, shouldn't have let them get out of my reach. Where could Frodo be..
