Prologue-My Sister

"What's wrong with this crystal!" Minako shouted, shaking the Imperial Crystal.

"It doesn't have enough power!" Ami shouted.

Usagi knelt on the ground, holding Makoto's hand. "Mako-chan, please don't leave us," she whispered. "Please don't die."

Makoto's grip on Usagi's hand was growing weaker by the moment.

"Makoto, please, you're stronger than this," Usagi begged, as tears ran down her cheeks. "You can't be the only one who dies. Please, Mako-chan…"

Ami put her hand on Usagi's shoulder. "I'm sorry, Usa-chan."

"No!" Usagi yelled. "Makoto! Don't die!"

Setsuna put her ear over Makoto's heart. She lifted her head and shook it. "I'm sorry…she's gone."

Makoto eyes slowly opened. She was weightless, floating in mid-air.

She was filled with a kind of peace. She knew she was dead, but she didn't seem too concerned. Her mother and father, not to mention her sister, were dead. She considered this the Homecoming.

Even so, tears filled her emerald eyes as she looked down on her friends, especially Usagi. "Usagi-hime, don't cry over me," Makoto whispered.

"I feel sorry for your friends."

Makoto turned around to see a tall woman perched on an oar. She was dressed in pink robes and her blue hair was done up in a ponytail identical to Makoto.

Makoto squinted at her, trying to conjure up the name of this girl. She knew her from somewhere…

"They'll miss you a lot," the girl continued. "I am the Grim Reaper. And you are Makoto, correct?"

"Yes, I am." Makoto looked at her some more. "Tell me, what is your real name?"

"My name is Botan."

"Botan? BOTAN?!"

"Yes…" Botan looked perplexed.

"Oh my God…Botan, it's me! Makoto!"

"Makoto…wait. Makoto KINO?!"

"Botan-imotou!"

"Mako-onaa!"

Makoto flew towards her sister and embraced her.

Well, that's the prologue!
