On Midsummer's day each year
I sit on that bench
And I know that you're near
I reach my hand next to me
And feel nothing but air
Tough in my heart
I know you're there
Right by my side
A million worlds away
Feeling my presence
In just the same way
My soul cries for yours
For you are part of me
Without you I am lost
I am incomplete
A tear falls down my cheek
I know I will never see you again
Until my death takes me
And then
We'll be together
Once more we'll be one
A part of everything that lives and grows
Until the worlds time is done
But for now I must seem happy
I put a smile on my face
And wipe a tear away
Leaving our lonely place
So the bench becomes empty
As I walk away
Not daring to look back
Until next Midsummer's Day
I sit on that bench
And I know that you're near
I reach my hand next to me
And feel nothing but air
Tough in my heart
I know you're there
Right by my side
A million worlds away
Feeling my presence
In just the same way
My soul cries for yours
For you are part of me
Without you I am lost
I am incomplete
A tear falls down my cheek
I know I will never see you again
Until my death takes me
And then
We'll be together
Once more we'll be one
A part of everything that lives and grows
Until the worlds time is done
But for now I must seem happy
I put a smile on my face
And wipe a tear away
Leaving our lonely place
So the bench becomes empty
As I walk away
Not daring to look back
Until next Midsummer's Day
