"The Moment"
As i looked into these pair of blue eyes looking back at me,full of understanding emotion mixed with pain and happiness all in one. A perfect moment that seemed infitnite and yet so brief all the same. This moment the one second in my life that i wish i could freeze and hold forever and never let it go. It made me happy to have it and sad to lose it. Its these moments we call golden. A moment i never wanted to pass but to stay in this place forever never leaving its comfort,its sense of safety that it gave me.,a warmth of love and understanding.But these moments pass all to quickly and come to far between, because as soon as they are here they are gone as fast as they came.
As the rain fell everywhere around the two beings standing staring into enterity. It was a sad moment to surrpass as the two looked into the eyes of the other. Not knowing what was going to be said next then the next words he uttered were the words she never wanted to hear, the words she had oh so feared since he had said he needed to talk.
"I'm going back to New York."
He hesitated to hear or at least see the reaction she would give him. Surprise,sadness,anger flashed over her face as it fell and the one emotion he had never wanted to see her express.. pain. Pain he had caused,he hated himself for causing her pain. Her eyes rose back to meet his,he could see the hurt in her beautiful eyes as she spoke.
"Why?"
Her words made him flinch as they cut through him like a knife, never had he felt such hurt and pain after telling a girl he was leaving her,but this was differant this was the girl of his dreams the girl he had so sercretly daydreamed about,the girl he had to leave.
"I cant stay here anymore,here with you watching you, with him."
Those were the most profound words he had ever said in his life those words shaped his destiny.
"I dont want to hurt him"
"But in the process here you are hurting me."
"I never wanted to hurt you I..." her voice cracked as she spoke the words he had waited so long to hear but now was to late. "...I love you"
"I Love you too"
Here it came the pain I was so familar with. But this was differant the pain worsend as i spoke the words I had so wanted to share with her since the faithful day I had met her.
"Then why do you have to leave,things can change i can change them..."
"I cant keep putting myself out there hoping you will notice me and feel the same way."
"But I do I love you"
" Its to late i have to move on"
I could see the tears fall from her already wet cheeks, it was a mixture of tears and summer raindrops.As we stood there, she slowly grazed my cheek with her hand and softly kissed me. I could feel the tears drops touching mine. She slowly moved her face to my shoulder and i could feel the tears soaking into my already soaked shirt. I kissed the top of her head as i pulled myself away,away from the feelings i had felt for her the warmth her touch gave me, the love I had felt for her now it was only filled with hurt and sorrow that I had to end it this way.As I prepared to leave I lightly kiss her on the lips.
These are the moments we call golden.
A/n I dont know where my inspiraton for this story came from i have never experianced love or even nething close to it. I feel as if my thoughts of what i think love is is poured out in the story.I hope you like it.Please review i feel very strongly about this story i think its one of the best things i have EVER written. I could feel the tears drops touching mine. She slowly moved her face to my shoulder and i could feel the tears soaking into my already soaked shirt. I kissed the top of her head as i pulled myself away,away from the feelings i had felt for her the warmth her touch gave me, the love I had felt for her now it was only filled with hurt and sorrow that I had to end it this way.As I prepared to leave I lightly kiss her on the lips.
