Brass strode down the hall towards Grissom's office.  He had a search warrant related to their latest case, and he knew Grissom would want to execute it right away.  He reached his destination, only to find the door closed.  He rapped on the door, but there was no response.  No sounds emanated from the office.  Not even the usual classical music.

Brass checked his watch.  He could have sworn he saw Grissom not twenty minutes ago, heading towards his office.  But then a flurry of activity could be heard behind the door.  Brass knocked again and heard Grissom call out, "Just a minute."

The door swung open, and Sara exited the room.  She gave Brass a quick smile, but could not quite meet his eyes.  She scurried away towards one of the layout rooms.

Brass turned and entered the office.  Grissom sat behind his desk, ostensibly concentrating on the file in front of him, but his face was flushed and his hair disheveled.  "Sorry, Jim," he said.  "I was just talking with Sara about another case…"

"Right.  Judge Perez signed the warrant for Collins' house and garage."

"Good."  Grissom stood and gathered up a few files.  "Find Warrick and we can head over there."

"Sure thing, but, Grissom, do me a favor first."  Grissom looked up at Brass expectantly.  "Wipe off the lipstick."
