The End of all things
The sweetness of the shire seem so far away Oh how I long for those beautiful days When my master was young and strong and fair And sweetness of flowers hung in the air
Here we are at the end of all things We've journeyed so far to dispose of this ring I do not know what else is in store Tho' I long to see him whole once more
And So I've decided that this is the end I'll lay here silent, with my arms cradle my friend His maimed and wounded hand lies upon my breast Knowing in my heart that we have done our best
So I'll close my eyes and follow him once more I feel my spirit lifting, reaching for distant shores One more journey to accomplish at the end I love you my Master, my Brother, my Friend
