Summary: Missing scene from "The Dark Backwards" - Trance sees a way that everything could turn out right, but she need someone's help.
Spoilers: Yes... Season Two, specifically "Ouroborous" and "The Dark Backwards."
AN: I wrote this as I write most of my stories... in class, so it's short. Oh, and don't yell at me over the ending, I may have more.

Trance looked at her little tree, almost gone - she had done all she could, Harper would have to die. Tears slowly started to fall down her face. She had watched him die a hundred ways, a hundred times, and every time it only hurt more. "I don't want to lose him again. I need to change this!"
"You can't." said a quiet voice.
Trance looked up, tears still running down her face. "*You* can change this!"
The owner of the voice stepped forward, a short beautiful girl with deep blue eyes. "He means little to our perfect future."
Trance looked at the image on the wall of her standing over Harper's dying body. "But he means so much to me - I can't lose him."
The little girl shrugged. "He'll die sooner or later anyway, and you've saved him once already. What does it matter if I don't save him now?"
Trance placed her hand on the image. "Just...help me, please. You owe me that much."
The girl walked over to the picture. "Fine - but this will change things. They may not turn out the same way as before..." She laid her small hand on the tree, watching a new branch grow. "Cut that one - it's the one you need."
Trance smiled. "Thank you."
She quickly cut the branch, and the scene started again. "Come on... Come on..."
"*...Beep....beep...beep...beep...*"
Trance let out a breath as Rommie came over the comm. "Harper's lifesigns are returning to normal!"
Trance looked at the little girl. "I owe you."
The little girl just laughed "I know, Mom. Just make sure he's alive for my childhood this time."
