Old woman trapped in new body, unflawed vision of her pat beauty. She faces her surrogate daughter, a girl-child grown to womanhood early, fed by the dark dreams of an old queen well hidden by false promises. The old woman sees through all the lies of the queen, begging her daughter to return to her mother's embrace. But too late she realizes that her daughter is beyond help, born of light, raised by darkness the daughter stands stead fast in her beliefs. The old woman refuses the so called gift of her new found youth and just before she breathes her last breath, she calls the name of the goddess whom she knows has deceived so many in hr quest for power.
