Dreams May Come
"Fumma?" Kamui shakes his friend's shoulder, trying to wake him.
"Hmmm…?" Fumma murmurs, half opening his eyes.
"I've had a nightmare." Kamui bites his lip. "May I stay with you?"
"Of course." Fumma lifts up the blanket and lets Kamui crawl in, snuggling into his friend's warm side.
The door opens and Kotori stumbles in, her white nightgown threatening to trip her. She smiles sleepily at Kamui. "Nightmare?" she asks.
"Yes." Fumma tells her.
"I'll stay too." she says, and clambers into bed with the boys.
"Did you have a nightmare, Kotori?" Kamui asks, yawning and reaching out to hold Kotori close.
"No, 'course not. I have to make sure you two don't share one." Kotori curls up around Kamui. "Silly boys." she says, more a puff of air than a phrase, and is asleep.
