It was a wonderful night. The stars were glowing bright, and the moon was in a lovely cresent shape.
Kagome sat next to a pond, it was a dark blue. She sat there picking at the grass. Inu-Yasha sat in a tree hoping something might try to attack soon. He was growing quite bored of just sitting there..
The night grew darker and soon Kagome grew restless.. So she got up and sat by the tree Inu-Yasha was sitting in.
"Inu-Yasha?" Kagome said quietly.
"....Yea..?" Inu-Yasha said half asleep.
"How do you think things will be after we do all we can here?"
There was a long silence...
"I dunno" Inu-Yasha replied. He wasn't sure how to answer the question.
It's going to be hard..." Kagome said. "I mean, we've been doing this for awhile, and.. Ya know.. Me being back in my time. I'd be bored."
"Yeah.. You could always come back ya know." Inu-Yasha said to her sounding a bit bored. Again there was a long silence..
"Inu" Kagome broke the silence once again.
"Will you miss me?"
Inu-Yasha was stuned at the question and wasn't quite sure how to answer.
He knew he'd miss her.. But. It was something that had not really came up.
"Yes..." Inu-Yasha said at last.
"I'd miss you. I'd miss everything about you. Your nagging, your food that you bring, annoying you..... Your scent....."
Kagome teared up a bit but didn't cry.
"Thanks." She said. "I'd miss you too."
For the rest of the night they talked about things they did before they had met.
Nothing really happend. But it brought Kagome great happiness to know Inu-Yasha felt somewhat the way she did, for her, as she did for him..
