"Spike!" Ed's voice ripped through the communicator that Spike kept at his
waist.
"Yes Ed?" Spike responded, then quickly two gunshots were heard from his new gun. Spike turned and ran away from his bounty, spinning around a corner.
"Spike, you don't know what you're up against!" Ed yelled. "This guy is wanted for a lot of things!"
Three more gunshots and a body hitting the floor. Then Spike's voice came back.
"Like what?"
"Well, I'll read the list," Ed continued. "Thirteen counts of murder, seventeen counts of property damage, six counts of armed robbery, and known overdose of Bloody Eye!"
Spike was heard at the other end, uncaring. "I've done better. Besides, you never told me what this guys name was."
"Drakulo Froulferi."
"WHAT!? You sent me up against that psycho?" Spike's uncaring voice was transformed right into pure fear. "Get me out of here or I'll haunt you forever when this freak kills me!"
Ed's laugh was heard.
"Just turn the corner and re-board the ship. The password to get through the connection doors is 'RADICAL EDWARD.'"
Spike quickly ran back to the ship.
* * *
Spike panted as he approached the laughing Edward.
"I can't believe you! You almost got me killed!"
Ed stopped laughing.
"Not really. Drakulo himself had already left the ship I latched to. But there were a lot of freakish people left on that ship so I had to get you off." Ed continued. "Such as Tyoo Kayl, his friend. He is half as strong as Drakulo himself, and just as powerful as Vicious.
"Also, you would easily have gotten killed with all the laser systems lining the ship. You could have beaten Tyoo, but you wouldn't make it back to the ship."
Upon hearing this, Spike did the math. He then twisted his face to look like he was being attacked by Drakulo.
"You mean."
"Yes. Drakulo is not as strong as Vicious, like Faye told you. He's twice as strong. Plus, I haven't told you the bounty that got you and me on this case."
Spike looked at her in a "What?" manner.
"Three hundred million for Drakulo, and one hundred million for Tyoo. Bonus two million if brought in together. And you can bring them in dead. They're both wanted for a lot.
"On a second notice, their ship is much better than the Bebop. I can take their ship apart and spice this place up a lot.
"Compared to the blueprints of their ship, 'The DT,' that ship makes this ship a piece of trash."
Spike's eyes instantly went wide. When he was about to speak, he heard Faye enter the room.
"Hello Faye," Spike and Ed said in unison.
Faye took a cautious step back. "Why aren't you calling me Faye-Faye?"
"Because Ed grew up!" Ed said with her old humor.
At that moment, the sound of knocking came from the door.
Here's a permanent disclaimer. I DO NOT OWN BEBOP! *Sob*
And I put that cliffhanger there on purpose.
