Chapter 3: We're Getting Drafted
I was so pissed off. I never spoke to Gordo until 3 days later.
3 DAYS LATER.
"So, are you still mad at me?" Gordo replied calmly. I shook my head. "Sorry." "It's okay." We kissed and cuddled like the old days. Like when we were in high school. "Look, I understand how bad you feel. I shouldn't have gone behind your back like that," Gordo cooed softly. "No, I should have let you explain." I felt like a bitch. This isn't like me at all. I'm human too, but I shouldn't be yelling at people like that. Every time Gordo says stuff like that it melts my heart. I really did feel like a bitch. "So, if we get drafted, will you be prepared?" For a moment I didn't know what to say. It was puberty all over again except they were emotional changes. "Uh, yeah. I'll be prepared."
THE NEXT WEEK.
"Lizzie, come quick!!!!!" Gordo yelled in a serious, but exited tone. Was it the draft letter? Or did we win a million dollars? "We're getting drafted!!!" I couldn't believe my ears. "What did you say???" I said calmly. "We're getting drafted Lizzie!!! WE'RE getting drafted!!"
