Miaka never went into the book world and met the guys. Miaka leaves her old life in Japan, and moves to China to start over. She gets more than she bargains for when she gets involved with the gangs of the gods.
Prologue Escaping from Your Life
The eighteen-year-old stood in line holding her ticket awaiting to board the airplane. All around her people were hugging, and saying goodbye to their loved ones. Tucking a loose strand of her long brown hair behind her ear, she gave a small sigh, trying to fight the tears threatening to fall from her honey brown eyes. "It's the only way Miaka," she whispered to herself. Tentatively she walked towards the gate, and handed the girl her ticket. With one last glance back, she walked down the terminal.
Miaka Yuuki looked out the window of the airplane as Japan disappeared beneath her. "Goodbye."
