Hi it's me Hermione! This is all from my point of view so bear with me.
August 14: I can't wait to go back to Hogwarts! It's not that I don't like it at home, but Hogwarts just seems so much like where I'm supposed to be. Here at home there is nothing really to do so I read all the time. Ever since I turned 11 and received my letter telling me I was a wizard I've been signed up for a wizard library. Every week they send an owl with a list of new books they have received. When I see one I'd like to read I just send a letter. Mom and dad had been so proud when they found out I was a witch but now they seem kind of distant about it. They never really talk about it unless they are fighting in their room at night. I can hear them through my heat vent when I try to go to sleep. Man! I can't wait to see Harry and Ron. In the muggle world I never really had any friends. In elementary school everyone would make fun of me for being so smart. I survived it by having one friend. Her name was Rebecca or Becky for short. We met in third grade when I transferred schools. We were best friends until the first half of sixth grade when she had to move. Since then I've been alone in the Muggle world. Hogwarts was the best thing that ever happened to me.
August 17: I received my letter from Hogwarts today with my list of supplies I need. Mom said she'd take me to Diagon Alley on Saturday. She didn't seem too happy though. I think I'll ask mom and dad tomorrow if I can go to Ron's before school starts. Maybe Harry will be able to come also. One thing I am not looking forward to at Hogwarts is Draco Malfoy. I don't care if I have muggle parents; I'm still a witch no matter what he says! Even though he claims he is "pureblood" he will never be as good as a wizard as Harry or Ron. I hate it when people call me mudblood. It is like saying you aren't a witch and you never will be just because of you genetics! I've always been an over achiever and learning I was a witch gave me something knew, more of a challenge to overcome. Hagrid has really helped me. I often go down to his hut and talk to him while Harry and Ron are doing their homework. He always gives me great advice. The wizarding world has been wonderful for me. The only thing I struggle with is boys. I always have though. There is my owl, Lucy, with my library books and a letter from Harry so I'll be back later.
