Fellowship of the Ring

By Patrick

There was Movement at Rivendell for the word had got around, That the ring of power had come that way And was headed for Mordor the place that it was made And only there could it be unmade

Everyone who could help was summoned there that night And asked to do what they could do, And so from all corners of the land everybody came And so the meeting was begun

There were Aragon and Boromir two lords from Gondor land, Both had a desire for the ring. But for one the ring was too tempting and he tried to take it then But this greed would lead him to his death.

And Legolas a Wood elf came down to lend a hand He was a prince and a great archer too, Gimli a Dwarf was there that day too And with his axe he knew he could do some good

And one was there a hobbit like a small and weedy man By the name of Frodo he went And with his Hobbit friends-all eavesdropping that day He's the one that got the ring that far

The meeting started edgily and an argument broke out Between men and elves and Dwarves who were there. Only Frodo stayed seated as the argument kept heat And soon he stood up and shouted over the noise

"I will take the Ring" he shouted at Gandalf And the old man turned and gave a smile Soon other beings Joined Frodo on his Quest And so the Fellowship was begun

Trekking through the mountains was what they planned But soon their campsite was found And so they started heading for a pass up high Then Sarumon's voice was heard on the wind
Gandalf Shouted out but it was all in vain And soon the mountain fell down It forced them into Moria-a mine that they feared And one of them was about to fall

After the password was found to get in 'Mellon' was what it was They made it in to dwarf city-Gimli's cousin's place And Fought Orcs to save themselves

They fought and defeated the last twenty orcs Then ran into a Balrog so they say They ran to the bridge and just saved themselves But Gandalf tried to stop the beast

"You shall not pass this bridge" is what he yelled "For your powers will not defeat me" And soon the beast was down the pit-while Gandalf sighed and turned But the whip came back and pulled him in

Soon they were out of the Mines of Moria With one less in their party they cried Aragon was cautious and told them so So quickly they headed for refuge

When they reached LothLorien they were greeted well And soon they were all asleep Then Frodo heard a sound it was made by Galadriel So he stood up and followed the elf

She told him look in the mirror and so he did so And saw his fate clear as day So if he failed this is what he'd see Everyday and every night

They rowed away and got to Rohan's falls and there they set up camp Then Frodo wandered off Boromir followed him in In an attempt to get the ring

Soon they were attacked by orcs once again Frodo escaped with his life Samwise followed him and almost drowned in the creek Before Frodo saved his life
At the Battleground Boromir blew his horn And sent the Orcs scattering away But one stayed and sent three arrows through his heart But Boromir fought bravely to the last

Aragon came and sent the Orc to his grave But was too late to save his friend "The little ones have gone" is the last thing he said Before death had done its job

The three remaining on that side of shore Aragon, Legolas and Gimli Went off in search of there hobbit friends And so this story ends here.
