free to flame me for this, i probably have it coming for too many
songfics.the words are whatever i thought he says in the song, so
sorry in advance if they are wrong. please let me know so i can
correct any errors.

disclaimer- I don't own Zoids (in my dreams i do!) and the song is
Brokenheartsville by Joe Nicols.
Brokenheartsville

[He wore that cowboy hat
to cover up his horns.
Sweet-talking forked tongue
had a tempting charm.

Before I turned around
that girl was gone.
All I can say is,
Bartender, pour me
something strong.]

Van sat at the bar, not really looking at anything. How could one
pleasent afternoon turn out so horribly wrong? Fiona, how could she? He
would kill Raven if he ever found him. That man was the devil himself,
disguised as a Zoid pilot, Van was sure of it. And Fiona, how could she
fall for him? He turned his back for one second, and she just runs off
with Raven, not even so much as a goodbye.
"Bartender, better pour me something strong!" Van called out morbidly.

[Here's to the past,
they can kiss my glass!
I hope she's happy with him.
Here's to the girl,
who wrecked my world.
That angel who did me in.]

A man came up and sat beside Van. He looked at the depressed young
man questioningly.
"What you doing in here boy? Shouldn't you be out with your girl or
something," the man asked.

"Don't have a girl. She ran off with my worst enemy earlier. So here
I am." Van turned to look at the man. "What am I supposed to do?"

"Here's what you do boy. You wish that girl the best of luck. If you
love em', let em' go. She'll be okay, and you'll get over her. Make a
toast to her now."

"Okay then," agreed Van. "To Fiona!"

[I think the devil drives a coup,
if at all.
I watched him drive away
over the hill.
Not against her will,
I've got time to kill,
down in Brokenheartsville.]

Once they were done, Van had something more to say.
"Ya know, it's all that stupid Genobreaker's fault. I'll bet a cool
Zoid like that attracts lots of ladies. Raven's probably rolling in
women. He could take his pick. But why did he have to choose Fiona?"

"Boy, things don't always make sense," the old man comforted him.
"sometimes they just happen."

[It was long and chrome
sitting in the lot.
Fire-engine red
that thing was hot.
He revved it up,
she waved goodbye.
My loves gone to hell,
and so have I.]
* * *
Stupid Genobreaker, Van thought to himself. He drives it around like
a rich kid in a new Ferrari.'Look at me Van, I've got a big fancy Zoid
and you don't. I have Fiona and you don't.' Van could hear Raven
mocking him now.Oh well, like the old guy said, things don't always
have to have a reason to happen, they just do. But it's still the
Genobreaker's fault,thought Van stubbornly.
