Amor Immortale

An ancient tryst, immortal light

Foreboding shades of lovers blight

Were overcome and fantasized

By two lovers, passion-filled eyes

Love came slowly, drop by drop

The pool it filled would never stop

And in this pool they forever bathed

Their romance eternal, never to be scathed

Blood was pooling on the ground

The ancient tryst it's target found

And in her arms, he smiled and said

I love you, dear, I'll soon be dead

Remember me fondly, our love shall go on

And no one shall ever tear from us these bonds

Me in your arms, and with you in mine

Who cares about such a thing as time
