War Cry of the Golden Snidget by Samantha Mauney
It was about one thousand years ago that people began to hunt.
And steal from their own habitat, the plains of the coldfront.
The Golden Snidget, its wings outstreched, its jewled eyes glazed with pride.
Though often on the Quidditch Field, many often died.
And although muggles often saw them, the council did not care.
You could tell they saw no wrong in this bloodsheading affair.
Oft crushed by its captor, the frail creature does not live.
Though only time can tell wheather that same frail creature will forgive.
For all the gold in Gringotts were the winners often given,
But one day the world will truely find by what which they were driven.
For what else but a greedy heart, could cause a man to give in?
And although muggles often saw them, the council did not care.
You could tell they saw no wrong in this bloodsheading affair.
So their numbers dropped dramattically;
They almost became extinct.
Only through the long decades of massacres, could the dissapearence be linked.
Though Madame Modesty tried to save one time and time again:
They often caught her once or twice, when she came around the ben.
And although muggles often saw them, the council did not care.
You could tell they saw no wrong in this bloodsheading affair.
Even though she saved one Snidget, she could not save them all.
(Thus she soon found out from the clouds menacing brawl.)
But the Golden Snidget's now protected, by the Wizards' Council more;
It seem the Snidget now has won this brutal, evil, war.

Disclaimer: I own nothing in this. Overwhelming knowlege of Golden Snidgets comes from Quidditch through the Ages. Also by J. K. Rowling.
