Albus sat staring blankly at the papers in front of him.
It was well past midnight and he still had to get the report for the
ministry ready by tomorrow.
Sighing he plucked his glasses off his nose and rubbed his eyes.
I need a drink he thought to himself.
Placing his glasses back on his nose, he got up and went to the door.
Minerva locked the library door behind as she stepped out into the cold corridor. Sighing she moved the book and tests she was carrying into a more comfortable position. She started walking towards her room at a quick pace desperately wanting to get to her warm bed. Rounding a corner slightly to fast she banged into something tall and solid. She was sent stumbling backwards and in the end was sitting on her backside on the cold ground.
"Watch were your going!" She spat. She looked up to see who it was and unfortunately she found a pair of sparkling blue eyes staring down at her with amusement.
"I'll watch were I'm going if you do to." He said smiling.
She smiled sheepishly as he extended his hand to help her up. When he did pull her to her feet he may have pulled a bit to hard for when she was standing upright there wasn't much space between them. In fact there was none at all. Minerva blushed and took a step back.
"I was going to. . ." "Would you like to go. . ."
"Get a Drink?" They finished together, smiling awkwardly. Minerva gathered up her things off the floor and then looked back at albus. He offered his arm to her which she took and then together they headed toward the staffroom in silence.
"Albus, could I just drop off my things at my office?" She nodded to a door on the floor below.
"Of course. I'll wait here."
Minerva smiled and started to head down the steps which lead to her office, when suddenly something stopped her taking her next step. She stumbled and was sent flying down the steps and landed in a heap at the bottom.
"Minerva!?" A very concerned headmaster was rushing down the stairs towards his deputy when.
"ALBUS LOOK OUT!"
To late.
Albus found himself lying face down with Minerva beneath him. Blushing furiously he tried to get up but found his hands slipping on the papers around him and backing the same Compromising position. Then he looked at Minerva.
Big mistake.
Their eyes locked. He leaned closer to her and he kissed her forehead, then he lowered his lips to hers and kissed her softly. The kiss felt like it lasted for eternity. Suddenly Albus pulled away embarrassed with what he had done and got up swiftly.
Minerva got up slowly and then looked to were Albus was standing. He had his back to her and was taking deep steadying breaths. Mixed emotions ran through her. She was absolutely ecstatic about the kiss but. . . why did he pull away?
"Albus . . . "
Albus composed himself and spun around to face her.
"Minerva I am sorry for what I have done, it meant nothing. . . " He took a shuddering breath.
"Will you forgive me?" He finished quietly.
"Albus. . .What if I. . . I wanted it to mean something?"
With that She walked foreward placed a hand on either of his cheeks and planted a kiss firmly on his lips. They stepped away from each other and then suddenly looked toward the stairs.
"Creevey!?" They said simultaneously.
