Inspired by Together Again by Janet Jackson

Spoilers: Aya's past and family.you know, what everyone has already found out about.

Disclaimer: Me no own. If I did, Weiss and Schwarz would be one group and Persia would have made it through the series.

"It all began on your sixteenth birthday. Do you remember shopping with me that night? You had to look at everything. Now that I look back on it, it's probably what saved our lives."

"I bought you those earrings. They're really not so tacky. But I guess after wearing one for two years I should be used to it. That's how long it's been. Two years."

"Two years and I still remember it like it was yesterday. I can still see Mom and Dad. I still see your accident. I see it every time I close my eyes. That's why I don't smile. It's hard to smile when every time you close your eyes, you see your little sister. Her body hitting the front of the car. You hear the sickening crack of her colliding with the windshield."

"My friends - yes, I do consider them my friends- probably think I can't smile. And I can't. Not like they do. Omi's smile is so innocent; it never judges, even if you deserve it. Ken's smile is carefree. It still knows how to have fun. Even Yohji smiles. But then, he's never serious. They think I'm always serious. They would most likely die of shock if they knew the old - the real - me. I changed that night. My laughter and jokes stopped; my smile died along with our parents."

"Of course, my friends would be shocked if they saw me now. I never talk to them unless it's important. When I do talk to other people, like the ones in the shop, I usually yell. I don't mean to, it's just so hard to be nice when you can't."

"I finally avenged you and our parents. Takatori is dead. I left Weiss after he died. But when you were kidnapped, I had to go back. I had to find you."

"Yohji's complaining that I'm even moodier than before. He would be upset too! Omi hasn't said a word about it. He was the one who kept us informed between Takatori's death and your kidnapping. I never responded, but it was nice to hear from him."

"Ken hasn't changed much. He's the one I go to if I need to talk. He's a great listener; I wouldn't have expected that from him, but I'm proof that things aren't always what they appear."

"Sakura realized how much she looks like you. I'm really not as dense as people think. I know she likes me. She thinks she loves me. That's why she grew her hair out; she thinks it'll make me notice her. I notice her; I just don't love her. For one thing she's too young. Besides, it would be creepy. I see you every time I look at her. It just wouldn't work."

"I wish you would come back to me. Then you could help Yohji and Ken make fun of me. You and Omi would probably be in the same class; you're both smart. You would love the shop; you always liked flowers."

"You're very popular now. So many people want to meet you. Manx, Birman, Yohji, Ken, Omi, and Sakura. Persia and Botan did too, but they died. With so many people waiting, it would be rude of you if you didn't come back."

"I promise I'll find you. When I do, though, you'd better be ready to wake up. I'm not a patient person and you know it." Ran sighed as he shut the notebook. He would find her, but right now he had a shift in the shop to take care of.
