I offer you this prayer.
The followers of Allah, Yahweh, and Christ all claim to know the One True God. Furthermore, they all claim that He desires us to know Him and to worship Him. They tell me that if I do not worship Him as He desires, then I will suffer for it once I am dead.
You created me. And so my belief, my faith, and my worship is yours for the asking.
But you must be the one to ask.
How am I to know which faith, if any, is correct? Shall I call You by the name of Yahweh? Allah? Brahma? Prometheus? If I get it wrong, will it anger You?
I pray to you. I beg of you. Come to me and tell me who you are. Give me some evidence of your existence and of your identity. Let me see one of Your followers perform a miracle. For I am not made to choose what I believe. I cannot choose to believe in one possibility above any other. If you do not help me, I can only continue to say that I do not know. This is the only answer I alone can achieve.
My faith is yours for the taking. But you must come to claim it. You cannot delegate this task.
