Where Leprechauns (Really) Came From
(According to The Masked Cokie)
A/N: A journal entry I had to write for school.
Leprechauns come from the World of Two Moons (later called Abode). When the trolls threw the palace (spaceship thing) back in time, the High Ones (as they were later known as by their kin) landed, obviously in the past. Before this, they were shape shifting themselves to look like the people in that world's renaissance. The elves, who were fearing for their lives because of hateful, primitive humans, split up into at least five (plus one) groups: the Wolfriders, the Sun Folk, the Gliders, the Go-Backs, the Wavedancers, and, less known, the Leprechauns.
Now, remember: Elves can do magic, though everybody's different, and the magic is inherited. Well, when the Leprechauns broke off from everyone else, they moved to a place later called the Forevergreen. There, they attempted to build another palace so they could get home.
But humans too lived in the Forevergreen. They thought the elves were evil. But the elves, being smart (not that the other elves weren't smart, the other humans were also smarter, and wouldn't fall for such a trick. And besides, I don't think that even Rayek or Winnowill or someone just as greedy, or even a rock shaper could do this. Well, all right, perhaps a rock shaper, like Ekuar). So anyway, while the other elves were being slayed, the Leprechauns had a GREAT (okay, not so great, an open holed flute would be better) I repeat: GREAT idea to give the humans gold, which seemed to be what they wanted the most at the time. (Not open holed flutes.)
Then, in the far-away future, a human called Jink traveled to Earth, and landed in a country called Ireland. There, she told stories about the elves, especially her favorites, the Leprechauns, who had by then been long excited (along with the rest of the elves by some, as of yet, unknown cause).
That's where Leprechauns came from.
