Me no own Digimon. Saban, Bandai, and Toei called it first.

Sora finally did it today. She came right out and said that she loved Tai. In front of the entire group even! I knew it was going to happen sooner or later, but I never expected something so blunt from her. It's been visible in her for a long time actually. Hidden glances, longing sighs, especially when she thought no one was watching. Yes, she tried to hide them. No, I didn't point it out to her. That would just be embarrassing.
Sora is afraid of being a stranger in our crowd. That's most likely why she's fallen for Tai. He is the center of attention for all of us. For her, to be at the center would be wonderful, to be followed, adored, admired, but best of all knowing she's appreciated. She already is, but... well, you know some people. Always wanting some kind of emotional reinforcement. Of course, she could actually be in love, but some how I doubt it.
Tai however, also reacted as expected, as he hurried into the forest to be alone. Tai has to realize he is the best leader we have. Unfortunately he fears that he can't be the leader our group needs. He really wants to be able to act without his emotions getting in the way, and to eventually be able to make decisions that don't depend on luck most of the time. I really don't know what he would do if one of us died. I don't think he could take it at all.
Matt's also been rather distant since Sora's statement. More then usual I mean. Personally? I think he's cursing himself for not having as much courage as Sora does to just state his feelings. Matt is afraid rejection in the worst way. Especially in this case. Of course, I can't blame him in any way, it's not easy to tell some one you love them. Even worse when you aren't the first or even the only one to do it, and there's a even good chance you'll be ostracized because of it.
Possibly the strangest reaction of all that I've seen is Mimi. Normally she's bubbly, and contrary to what anyone will admit, the innocent energy reminding the group we're all human. But after Sora's statement, when she's not moping on the big boulder overlooking camp, she's threatening anyone who wants to go see Tai besides Agumon, Sora, and Matt. And though normally a threat from Mimi is like being beaten with a cold wet noodle, now there's something cold and detached behind her voice. Anyone around her long enough can occasionally hear her mumbling quietly that 'He better love her back' with a cold edge, like she's ready to die just to ensure Sora's happiness. From what I know about her, she doesn't seem to be the type to talk about every emotion they have. In fact, as I've seen, she would rather have her actions speak for her over any words she could think of, and right now, her action's are confused, but at least they have an apparent goal.
Joe doesn't even seem to notice what's going on with in the group, and if he does it isn't showing in the least. He and Gomamon have been collecting food all day, making sure everyone eats, with the help of the digimon when ever he needs to get something over to any one of the group scattered in the forest. He seems to know that our digimon can find us by instinct, which is something I never noticed before. I think he sees the reactions I do, and
just isn't going to start worrying until later, when there will be time for silliness.
That sort of makes this a good experience, in a way. I never really had a chance to notice how everyone
played important parts to the group. It just happened. Tai was the default leader, we ALL know what happened
when he was gone. Matt had some kind of inner strength we could count on. Sora was the one who actually
worried about us, as a group. Joe held us together, by being so cautious. And Mimi kept everyone's spirits up by
being so annoying that we didn't have time to pity ourselves.
They are my... family. So I'll have to help them.
