Lent

"So... Hermione... YOU are giving up HOMEWORK for LENT?" Ron asked aghast at what Hermione had just said.
"Yes. My parents insist that we do Lent this year, and you are supposed to give up something you like for it. And you can't do that, or eat it, or whatever untill Easter." Hermione explaned.
"The Professor's aren't going to be to happy, Mione." Harry reasoned.
"Hm... Maybe I should try this..." Ron mused.
"Don't be silly! You have to give up something you ENJOY! For instance, you could give up Wizards Chess." Hermione patiencly told Ron.
"No. What could Harry give up?"
"Quidditch."
"NO!" The whole common room yelled at the trio.
"Well... that's out of the question..." Hermione noted.
"I'll give up Divination!" Ron told them.
"But you have to give up something you LIKE."
"I like Divination, because it's esay to cheat!"
"Fine. What will you give up Harry?"
"Chocolate." By now, the three were out of the common room, and walking towards the library.
"You can't give up chocolate, Potter! You get hurt too much!" Malfoy said, as he over heard them in the hallway.
"You couldn't go a day without that precious gel of yours, Malfoy." Hermione said
" And I bet you couldn't go a day without homework, Mudblood!"
"Well, that settles it! We'll bet it! See, who out of all of us, can go the longest without breaking out fast. Here's the catch. We decide for eachother, and we each put in 2 galleons into the pot. Shake on it." Hermione said.
"Ok. Mud-Blood, you go without homework."
"Harry, go without Quidditch."
"Ron, go without wizards chess."
"And Malfoy. You go without being mean to everyone." Hermione concluded.
Reluctantly, all 3 of the boys put their hands in the middle, and shook. Hermione turned to leave.
"Not so fast Mud-, I mean, Hermione, you need to shake too." Luckily, Malfoy had caught himself before he tripped up.
Hermione shook the boy's hands, and with that, they left for there separate towers.
