~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
He binds a minor wound, while a man dies on the next pallet, too far-gone for the scarce skills of the healers to be wasted on him. As he turns to wash his hands, his eyes catch the tormented gaze of the dying soul, and his own heart bleeds, and after an instant he breaks that look, cursing himself for what this war has brought him to. There is gore everywhere; the stench of the battlefield overpowers his senses, but it is nothing to the stain he feels growing on his conscience.
