JI: I thought I might make a side story. *shrug*

Betty: WARNING: Do not read without first reading Giving In. It won't really make any sense if you don't. ^^;

Side story:

Giving In: A late night talk.

Jou lie in his usual spot, slightly incapacitated. Seto stared down at him from his spot on the plush chair. Jou blinked as the drug he had ingested slowly started taking effect on his body. He brought an arm up, and covered his eyes with it, groaning slightly.

Seto paid no attention to the usual actions. This was the way things usually went for them. It had been about a month since Jou moved in. Seto would always watch over Jou during his highs. But this time was different. Jou never spoke to him when the drug was working, but this time, this time he did.

"...Mm..." Jou groaned, "...Seto?"

Startled, Seto answered, "..Yes, Jou?"

"What.." he paused and groaned again; this drug was much different than the others had been. "What was your mother like?"

Seto didn't answer, brooding slightly over the question. He really hadn't thought about his mother in a long time.

"Seto?"

"What, Jou?"

"Are you going to answer?" Jou turned on his side, removing his arm, his eyes resting on Seto's form. It was kind of hazy, but he could make it out.

"...I don't feel the need to tell you about her, Jou."

"Oh. Why not? ...I'm going to forget it anyway."

Seto glared slightly. Jou would forget, wouldn't he? Seto shook his head to himself, and gave in.

"My mother was a cold hearted person, who gave birth to me. That's it."

Jou didn't respond. He was lost in his semi-coherent thoughts. He turned on his back once more to face the ceiling. It was a minute until he responded.

"..oh."

Seto sighed. He really shouldn't have expected much more of an answer.

Suddenly Jou sat up. He got to his knees, and scooted himself slowly over to Seto. Jou blinked several times, and tried to steady himself, before throwing his arms over Seto's shoulders. The hug wouldn't have been successful if Seto hadn't moved his head in time, but it was a hug all the same.

Jou leaned into him, tightening his arms. Seto tried not to give in, but the drugged hug was too much to resist. He missed the human contact, and gave in.

Jou nuzzled his cheek against Seto's neck, before placing a soft kiss upon it.

Jou soon whispered a few seconds in, "..I'm sorry. Just another thing that's similar between us. It's hard isn't it?"

Seto wrapped his arms around Jou's torso, and leaned further into the hug. Abruptly, Jou started pulling Seto to the floor.

Seto began to protest, but Jou placed a hand lower to leverage, and pushed Seto completely to the ground.

"...Just sleep with me tonight," Jou paused, then added in a whisper, "..please?"

Seto nodded, and Jou leaned his head against the strong chest, while wrapping an arm across his stomach.

"...I know I'll forget about this in the morning. I wont remember it at all," Jou whispered.

Seto nodded into the darkness. It was a few minutes later before Jou spoke in a slight slur.

"...It's up to you. You can sleep with me tonight, and leave before I wake up. Or you can stay and let me wake up next to you, starting up something you may not want to. It would be.. a dangerous relationship Seto. Remember that."

This time Seto didn't nod. Just mulled over his thoughts. It was probably one of the hardest decisions he had to make. Jou fell asleep, his breath becoming even.

Seto glanced down to his dirty blonde hair. If he were to get involved with Jou... it would kill him.

Jou woke up alone the next day.

-_-_-

JI: Who will it kill? This is left open for interpretation. ^_^

Betty: ;_; Poor guys.

JI: *nod* Review!
