Okay, I didn't want to submit this, but I had to for an English project. =(
This is my first fic, by the way. Constructive criticism is welcome.

A Rather Sirius Dilemma
Remus Lupin awoke on Christmas morning to the excited cries of his roommates as they tore open their presents.
"Oi! Moony! Wake up!" A small present hit Remus. He groaned and sat up. "Get over here and see what James got!" fifteen year-old Sirius Black said. Remus yawned and stumbled over to James Potter's bed, where he was staring at a long, thin box.
"What did you. Who gave that to you?" Remus gasped seeing the brand new, state-of-the-art Nimbus 1000.
"Snape's going to die when he sees this," chimed in Christopher Wood, the keeper for the Gryffindor Quidditch team.
"So will Lily," Sirius added with a snicker. It was crystal clear to everyone at Hogwarts but Lily Evans and James that they liked each other. Lily was a chaser on the Gryffindor team.
"I told you guys before, I do not like her!" James said in exasperation.
"Sure you don't James." Sirius said, trying not to laugh.
"We believe you," Remus snorted. James glared at him but didn't say anything.
"Come on, we need to eat breakfast. And as soon as the Slytherins come back from break, we can rub James's new broom in their faces," Christopher said, trying to diffuse the tension. Everyone laughed and went down to the Great Hall, discussing plans for the afternoon.
*One week and twenty-one snowball fights later*
It was breakfast time at Hogwarts. The Hall was crowded with all the students that had come back from Christmas break. James and Lily were sitting next to each other, and James was telling her about his new Nimbus 1000.
"Are you serious?" Lily asked in disbelief.
"No, of course not. He's Sirius," James nodded towards Sirius. Lily rolled her eyes. "But yes, I did get a Nimbus 1000 for Christmas." Sirius sat down next to James.
"Did I hear my name?"
"Yes. James was talking about how he's not Sirius and you are," Lily explained.
"But that can't be right. Sirius isn't serious," Peter Pettigrew butted in.
"Of course it's right. I am Sirius," Sirius said with a mischievous gleam in his eyes.
"No you're not! You're never serious!" Peter exclaimed.
"But I'm always Sirius!"
"Sirius, you're never serious!"
"Yes I am."
"No you aren't!"
"Are too."
"Are not!" By now, the rest of the Marauders and Lily were listening attentively as Sirius proceeded to utterly confuse poor Peter.
"Am too!" Sirius said with a cheeky grin.
"No you bloody aren't!" Peter shouted, clearly frustrated.
"But. if I'm not Sirius, then what am I?" Sirius asked, looking lost and confused.
"Your just. Sirius!" said one very confused rat.
"Exactly," Sirius said with a grin and started talking to James.
"Wha. what just happened?" Peter asked Lily. She just laughed.
