Deanna quickly locked the door of her room, compleatly embarassed by her mother's actions on the bridge. After she was positive the computer had latched the door securly, the ship counselour collasped onto her bed, unsure what to do when Will came to talk to her. Fortuatly, Riker had gone to talk to Captain Picard and would most likely be away for some time. Enough time for her to think through this impossible situation.
A small bell notified her of the arrival of who ever was her door. Not exactly the sound she wanted to hear just yet. "Enter. Enter." she complied to the annoying buzz of the computer.
To her surpraise it wasn't Riker who came into her quarters, but Beverly Crusher, the ship's doctor and one of Deanna's close friends. "Are you alright, Deanna?"
"Quite. Why do you ask?" Deanna replied hiding her anger and embarrassment under a look of professional calm.
"I heard what happened on the bridge. With your mother wanting to marry Will. I just thought maybe you'd need someone to talk to."
"No. I'm fine. He'll never go through with it. Would he?"
"I don't think your mother is the right type for Commander Riker." Bev laughed,"No... I don't think your mother will find anyone worth her while on this ship."
Deanna and Beverly shared a knowing laugh. Though Deanna loved her mother, her eccentric ways were... a little annoying to her daughter. Beverly had been just as jealous when the Betazoid ambassador had proceded to flirt with Captain Picard earlier yesterday.
"I really don't need to talk, Beverly. Maybe with Will but... I'm fine. Really I am." Deanna insisted.
"Well... if you say so. But if you want, I have some nice herbal tea in the sick bay that is excellent." Dr.Crusher smiled.
"I'll remember."

"Should we tell her?"
"Let her have the moment."
Riker stared in amusment as Ambassador Troi hit on the holo-projected 'Rex'. Jean-Luc and Data were in equal hilarities.
"Shouldn't we be going?" Will pushed.
"If you want to go talk to Ms. Troi, do it. I'll stay here and get her back to her rooms." Picard answered.
Riker nodded and walked faster than usual out of 'Rex's Bar'.

One Beverly had left, Deanna had picked up a book or two but none really caught her attention. Try as she might to keep herself busy, nothing could turn her mind from Will.
Once again the buzzer went off, filling the room with it's low-key annoncement. "Enter. Beverly.. I really don't need..."
Riker.
Standing there in the door. The light from the corridor making his brown hair shimmer slightly.
"Will."
"Deanna."
Deanna stood, trying not to let him know her inside plight. " I thought you'd be planning your wedding. You seemed so willing on the bridge."
Will's eyebrows sky-rockted into his forehead, "You aren't serious?"
"Serious enough."
"Marry your mother?"
Deanna nodded.
Riker laughed.
"I don't see what's so funny, William Riker. You should have seen yourself out there. Just standing like you would let anyone just walk right over you." Deanna spat.
"Angry, aren't we?" Will teased, his brilliant smile spread out cross his face.
"Yes, I'm angry." Deanna agreed.
Will shook his head and took Deanna around the waist and pulled her closer to him. "Why would I marry your mother?"
"You tell me." Deanna said, wrapping her arms around his neck.
Will just continued shaking her head and kissed her. Deanna complied and let the kiss go on.
He tasted of stale rum and cigar smoke.
"You've been in the holo-projection room again."
"Yep." Will replied and kissed her again.
