Here's a poem I wrote. Hope you like it. Feedback welcome, whether it be flame or praise. Thankie!
The lone horn peals throughout the sky,
It's piercing sound to seek my heart.
Now we must leave, though I ask why
The Sea doth call and we depart?
The grey ship lingers by the shore,
Yet seems so far and distant now.
Ne'er had sorrow *stinged more,
Than what message decks the prow.
Now leaving from this land are we
And sailing to a land beyond,
And leaving but a memory
Of what we were when we belonged.
Now tears meet eye and then they fall
And break like glass would unto stone.
No more grievous seemed that wall
That seemed to say we are alone.
The lone horn peals throughout the sky,
It's piercing sound to seek my heart.
Now we must leave,
though I ask why
The Sea doth call and we depart?
*The "ed" is prounounced as a syllable.
