Bleed For Me
Chapter One
"Don't do this, Midii. Don't walk away." he pleaded. She kept on packing. "You want me gone. At least you did five minutes ago." She said, tears streaming down her face. He couldn't believe what an idiot he had been. There was no way to stop her. She walked out the door, never to turn back.
He walked back to his room and sat on the edge of the bed, reaching out for the indentations of where she had slept just two hours before. She was gone. He had no idea if she would return or not. The past four months had been a break from the Hell he lived. No war for him, no espionage for her. The spy and the silencer had become requited lovers - now a waitress and a clown. She had never once voiced anything close to concern.
All I ever wanted Was to be at your service But now I'm alone You're here and you're gone
And it was his fault she had left. One stupid remark had screwed everything over. She had told him the truth and he had yelled at her for it. Never before had he exploded like that. And she wouldn't come back.to him. Trowa's worst fear was that she would go back to.the other guy.
And all I ever wanted Was to feel I had a purpose But now that's all gone. But if you could give me just one love
Just one life
Just one chance believe it might
He had never once suspected it. Heero and Midii were friends, everyone could see that. Even Heero's girlfriend, even Relena, knew. But them.together.never. Now he could see why she had left Heero. She had known about it. He had never questioned her behavior or anything.
Bleed for me; I didn't get to notice you
Now I'm stuck out on a line
Bleed for me; I didn't get to be with you Now you're stuck in my mind
He couldn't confront Heero. Trowa considered him one of his few close friends - there were countless times he had asked advice from Heero. He would have never dreamed he was messing around with Midii. There was only one time he could imagine it actually happening - it was right after Midii had gotten word her father had died in Monte Carlo. She had run off in tears. Then he realized he had totally ignored her.
All I ever wanted Was to be what you needed Cause something so strong It can never be wrong
All I can promise
Is to say what I'm feeling We've made it so long
Midii had constantly been thrown at men for emotional support, positive or otherwise. More often than not, it ended with a fight and a breakup. He had been down that road several times before. But they had stayed strong in the face of adversity - no matter what.
Bleed for me; I didn't get to notice you Now I'm stuck out on a line Bleed for me; I didn't get to be with you
Now you're stuck in my mind
He sat in the rain, watching the empty road before him. The steps were uncomfortable. He had waited all day to see her - and she had never come home. Then a car drove up. He hid in the shadow of the little front porch and watched Midii get out of the passenger side of the car. He couldn't tell who the driver was. He didn't have to. She walked up to the porch and climbed the steps. He stepped out of the dark and she dropped her keys. He picked them up and unlocked the door. "I'm sorry," he said, not enjoying the shocked look on her face. Then it softened. "Would you like to come in?" she said, opening the door.
