Swiping snow off his face, Oz cursed his luck. It was Christmas Eve, he was somewhere on the North Pole, lost, and apparently there was a blizzard. 'When it rains, it pours,' Oz thought idly. 'Or maybe blizzards..."
Oz trudged forward trying to look for some sort of shelter when he tripped on a rock. his arm instinctively shot out and tried to grab a hold of something to steady himself. He was surprised when ha managed to grab onto a pole. Oz looked up and thought about where he was exactly. He was on the North Pole, holding on to a pole that may actually be *the* North Pole. Things cannot get any stranger than this. Trying to see through all the snow, Oz started walking again. It would not be cool to freeze to death.
After walking a good mile, Oz was preparing to sit and rest a while when he spotted a house. Glad to finally find some shelter Oz started to walk to the house. He was a few feet away when a small man, (even smaller than him) holding a large package, rushed out of the door.
"Hey," Oz called out to him.
The smaller man looked up and Oz noticed he had pointed ears. The man gave him an agitated look and motioned for him to come closer. Oz went to the man and saw that he a weird green outfit.
"Where have you been?" Tha man asked impatiently.
Confused Oz frowned. "I got lost and-"
"No time for excuses now." The man interrupted. "Get into the house and dress up quickly. We are on a schedule here you know." The man gave Oz a once over and frowned again. "What's your name?"
"Oz."
"Weird name." The man looked him over again. "And aren't you a little too tall?"
"Actually people think of me as a little too short."
"You've been working with humans." The man nodded as if he was understanding something. Suddenly he stood up straighter and looked at Oz an agitated look on his face again. "Well, no time for chit chat. The big guy's expecting us to be done in an hour. Suit up and meet me out back."
"The big who? What do you mean suit up?" Oz tried to get his questions answered but the man scurried away quickly. "Weird."
A strong gust of wind blew and Oz walked to the door. No use standing outside if there's shelter. even if the occupant is a little weird. Oz oppened the door and mareled at the sight before him. There were little guys every where in green outfits. Making... toys? "No way." Oz breathed.
"Ho, ho, ho, Merry Christmas." A booming voice said from above him. Oz looked up and gazed at the sight in awe. There standing on the second floor was no other than "Santa?"
