A/N: I sincerely hope that this makes sense. It's my first shot at poetry -
so I hope you like it! I have no idea why I made this PG-13 - probably
because I had some PG-13 thoughts while writing this. Anyway, I hope you
like this - and if you do, please review. Even if you didn't like it,
review anyway! Go on, flame ahead! I honestly don't mind!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pawns and Beggars ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I chose looks
My son close books
--- I ended up a pawn in the Dark Lord's game
He ended up a beggar with no name ---
I tried to turn him into me
He showed me how wrong one man could be
I tried to convince him Dark Lord was great
Even though I knew it was already too late
The battled went on, with him and I on opposite sides
It was most certainly a clashing of the tides
But he chose the wrong side, the Light Side lost
The Dark Side won, but with much to my cost
--- I ended up a pawn in the Dark Lord's game
He ended up a beggar with no name ---
After they lost he couldn't let things go
Everyday I heard him crying, "No no no no!"
Because of my disgusting devotion to the Dark Lord
My son was kept a prisoner for months purely because Voldemort was bored
Each day he grew more and more insane
I often wondered whether he would ever be the same again
Eventually he was let out free
But that is not what bothers me
My son has completely forgotten his whole life
Because of my stupidity - it's enough to make me want to stab myself with a knife
Draco Malfoy has lost his sense of self
And all I am left with is my wealth
--- I am a pawn in the Dark Lord's game
He is a crazy beggar who can't remember his own name ---
