One Sunday Morning…

Picture the scene.  This homeless guy is sprawled out at an unnatural angle on the street, his eyes closed.  He looks the worst for wear.  It's a sunny Sunday morning, and people in smart clothes happily stroll along to church.  He's oblivious.  So are they.

"God, please help that man," murmurs one girl, before skipping in to her favourite pew.

Meanwhile, Prudence Green, passionate environmentalist, is looking forward to another day taking care of God's green earth.  She makes a strong cup of Fairtrade coffee before deciding to go down and put some of the litter into bins.

Mildly perturbed, she goes around the homeless man.  After all, he might be drunk, and she wouldn't want to arouse a violent rage.

After much deliberation, and indulging into a few pieces of Green&Blacks Organic Chocolate, she decides to go and write a strongly worded letter to the council about the homelessness situation.

Later on, Cassandra Hermione Smith comes up the road, jingling her pentagram pendant between her fingers, cheerful after a lovely night with her girlfriend.  Tonight, she thinks, I'm going to go out and get really pissed.

She sees the homeless man.

"Er – you OK?"  He doesn't respond.  Damn, what was that first aid?  She tries pinching the back of his hand.  Nothing.  "F*** me," she mutters to herself.  She tests for a pulse.  It's still there.  Gives him a shake.  Nothing.  What was recovery position again?  She pulls out her mobile and calls an ambulance.
