AUOTHOR'S NOTE:  I own none of the following characters or places.  (Although I wish I owned Legolas and lived in Rivendell.)  This was created originally for my advanced television production class for the spring of 2003.  The idea was to be able to relate to a series of pictures that would show up behind us on film.  This just goes to show you what a combination of it being 12:30 at night, watching the extended FOTR dvd, and having four of your best buddies doing Gollum impersonations while you write can do to a person.  I hope you enjoy it and much as I enjoyed writing it. J

Hello and thank you for requesting this video guide to Middle Earth from the One Ring travel agency.  I'm your host.

In our two resorts located at Rivendell and Lothlorien, experience the legendary hospitality of the elves.  In Rivendell, horseback ride alongside lazy streams or spend the day at our full spa.  Here you can enjoy mineral baths, natural hot springs, and aromatherapy.  Since our Rivendell resort is family oriented, day care facilities are available for guests traveling with small children.  When booking, be sure to ask if your stay includes one of Lord Elrond's world renown councils.

If Rivendell doesn't seem to fit your needs, perhaps our Lothlorien resort will.  With rooms located high in the trees, we do offer a word of caution to guests traveling with small children or accident prone individuals.  Here you may wish to walk in the woods or visit Gimli's comedy club for a good laugh.  For an extra fee, look into Galadriel's mirror to see things that are, were, and have not yet come to pass.  For a limited time, each member of your party will receive a Leaf of Lorien collector's pin.

For a different feel, stay at the Shire in one of our luxurious hobbit holes.  At nightly celebrations hosted by Bilbo Baggins, experience authentic hobbit folk dancing, traditional feasts, and a wide selection of ale.  During the summer months, Merry and Pippin light up the sky with firework displays.  Packages also include dinner at the Prancing Pony and the floor show featuring Frodo's disappearing act and Aragorn versus the Ringwraiths.

During your stay in Middle Earth, be sure to visit the Museum of Dwarf History in Moria.  On this walking tour, Gollum is your guide through actual mitheril production plants.  Other tour highlights include a visit to Balin's tomb and a reenactment of Gandalf's last stand on the bridge of Khazad-Dum.  In our virtual reality center, try our new Balrog Escape or Cave Troll Battle games.  Be sure to book this tour in advance, as space is limited.

If you like extreme sports, you're in luck, as we offer a wide selection of packages.  In our River adventure tour, go canoeing down Anduin with Frodo and Sam.  Join forces with Boromir in our orc battle tour.  Armor and weapon rentals are included.  Or climb Cahadras.  Legolas will guide you on your mountain trek as you avoid avalanches caused by the wizard Sauruman.  And when the blinding blizzards subside, enjoy a spectacular view of Middle Earth.

So remember, planning a vacation doesn't have to be stressful.  Let all of us here at the One Ring travel agency help.  Call 1-800-TOLKIEN now to book your vacation and enjoy the wonder and beauty of Middle Earth.
