I had a dream last night.
I dreamt that I was in a room, a small room filled with cobwebs and dust. Sitting in a lonely corner, there was a large object covered with a piece of grey cloth. I walked towards it, the floorboard creaking with each step. Before I could hesitate, I pulled off the cloth in one sweeping movement.
And infront of me, stood the Mirror of Erised. The golden frame still gave off a soft shimmering, the intricate cravings on it painstakingly beautiful, just like what I had remembered. I traced the words slowly with my fingers, memorizing the touch under my hands.
I took in the cold air before looking into the mirror, afraid of what I would see.
I saw you, and you smiled at me, silver eyes filled with mischief. I reached out my hands to touch you, but you took a step back, shaking your head slightly as you laughed at me, strands of pale-blond hair falling into your eyes.
You stepped out of the mirror, the smile still on your face. You raised your hands to my face and pulled off the invisibility cloak. It was only then that I noticed I was wearing it.
I stared at you, not knowing what to say.
You kissed me.
I had a dream last night.
You, that's what my dream was made of.
But it's a dream after all.
