A year after Link defeated Ganon and rescued his sister, Aryll, from his evil clutches, Link has returned to his home on the isle of Outset. Of course he had to visit his old Rito and Krog buddies first. The King of Red Lions had agreed to take Makar and Medli along with Link and his sister on the homeward voyage, although they had to make a raft out of logs and tie it to the back of him to accommodate the new passengers. Early in the morning, Orca was out on the beach practicing his battle techniques, when he saw something on the horizon. Could it be? Orca quickly went fanatical and started jumping and running around in joy yelling, "EVERYONE, COME OUTSIDE, LINK AND ARYLL ARE BACK!!!" Grandma heard the news, and so did everyone else on the island. Minutes later, Link and his friends were arriving at the dock. Everyone from the village was there, and they were all shouting with joy. When Link, Aryll, and the rest of their buddies got off the boat, Grandma was the first one to greet them. In tears, she said, "Oh my, have the goddesses blessed us with such luck and joy for you to return to our sleepy home?" Link, Aryll, and Grandma all embraced each other in a huge group hug for maybe minutes, until the King of Red Lions broke the silence, "Ah-hem…"
"Who may this be?" replied Grandma.
"I am the King of Red Lions, the only boat on this earth who is able to speak the words of men. I befriended Link and aided him on his journey to rescue your granddaughter, Aryll, from the clutches of the evil wizard, Ganon."
"Oh, I see. And who are these fine young children?"
"The small, wood like looking one is a Makar, a Krog, a child of the great Deku Tree from Forest Haven."
"…And the other?"
"She is Medli, a Rito, which I am sure you know who they are, for they deliver your mail."
"I see, I see. Link, Aryll, Makar, Medli, I hope you will join us in a feast. Since we did not have much warning of your arrival, there is not much food, but most likely more than you've had in one sitting for at least a year. And as for the King of Red Lions, I hope you do not mind staying here at the dock, for a boat probably does not have much of an appetite, nor would one fit through the doorway of our lovely home."
"No, no, go right ahead. I do not mind at all."
"Well then, let the feast begin!" And on that note, the whole town somehow went into Link's home and had a grand feast. Shortly after dinner, Link, Aryll, Medli, and Makar went down the beach and sat at the lookout. They sat and talked about their adventures for hours until, finally, they fell asleep.
