************** Across the Sea by the Cloudtrader **************
Every time his lord took Glorfindel to bed it astonished him. He had died for Elrond's grandparents and come back to serve Elrond's House, but he'd never thought that he would become Elrond's lover.
When Celebrían had left, his lord had been utterly heartbroken. The love between Elrond and his wife had shone so brightly as to overshadow even the star that was Elrond's parents ship sailing across the night sky. He'd thought they would always be together. But then the lady had been raped by those foul orcs and she had left for the Undying Realm. He had been able to comfort his lord but a little -- it was mainly his duties to Imladris and all of Middle-earth that kept Lord Elrond there.
And now that Estel, once Aragorn, now King Elessar of Gondor was married to the Evenstar, he and all the rest of the elves of the Last Homely House were on their way to the Grey Heavens. They would take one of Lord Círdan's ships to Valinor... where Lord Elrond would be reunited with Lady Celebrían. And he, Lord Elrond's faithful seneschal, would follow, of course.
But he would be all right. Elves could die of a broken heart, but not in the Undying Realms.
******* The End *******
