The Beast
"The Beast grew despaired and thought, ` Who would want to love a
hideous beast." Sirius whispered.
James, Sirius, and Lily glanced at their friend. His dusty brown hair fell onto
the table. He slept peacefully. He was in a place where there were no worries
of such things as having to try to earn the love of others. He was in a place
of peace. "The Beast lived in a cold dark castle in the woods." Lily
read.
"Well, Remus doesn't live in one! He lives with me!" James smiled
proudly.
"Well, if you want to take it literately yes, but think about it. He
always used to exclude himself. It's like he had a cold shell that he hid in.
He didn't want anyone to find out about him. Neither did the beast
apparently."
"Go Lily! Way to think outside the box!" Sirius laughed.
Remus made a sudden movement, before settling down again. His friends stared,
and then returned to the book.
"Not far from the castle was a charming litt.." Lily read.
"Skip it! She is goody two shoes!" James and Sirius made faces.
"Fine! Well, Belle's dad goes into the woods and finds the castle."
Lily mumbled as she skipped some pages.
"We found Remus! Yeah!" Sirius danced.
"Boys." Lily rolled her eyes.
"He was greeted by taking furniture." Lily paused. The boys were
thinking.
"Dumbledoor let him stay at Hogwarts, so could discover him?" James
looked at them questionably.
"Sure, we'll go with that." Sirius beamed.
"The Beast but him in a dungeon and Belle came and found him.."
"Hmmm. We tried to enter the whooping willow once when he was a wolf and
the nurse saved us!" James beamed.
"Right. Belle and the Beast fell in love and the Beast was changed back
into the prince." Lily looked at them, and cracked up.
"I think the nurse is a little old for him!" she laughed.
"Oh back off!" Sirius pretended to look offended as he laughed.
"Well, the beast was changed on the inside as well. Remus was changed when
he figured out that we would always be with him, and didn't care about what he
was. So there!" James said. "The end." He shouted.
He looked up at Remus. The amber eyed boy was looking at them as if they had
lost their marbles. "Go to bed guys. It's two in the morning." And
with that he walked upstairs. They looked at each other. "AND HE WAS A
BEAST NO MORE."
